IPSSA, the Independent Pool and Spa Service Association, is pleased to now offer an ‘Affiliate Membership’ option for independent pool and spa professionals who are located more than 100 miles away from an established IPSSA chapter.
With a growing demand of independent service professionals interested in access to insurance, education and peer-to-peer networking opportunities, IPSSA wants to help professionals become a part of its growing organization even if they don’t have 10 people to start a new chapter.
“We receive many calls from folks who are located far from an established IPSSA chapter but who want to take advantage of the free education, IPSSA member discounts, insurance, education grants and the professional validation that comes from being an IPSSA member,” says Rose Smoot, executive director of IPSSA. “So IPSSA decided to create this Affiliate Member option for only $14.00 a month in order to help support the growing number of new independent service professionals and expand IPSSA’s reach into growing markets around the country.”
As the pandemic created unprecedented demand for outdoor living products, thousands of new pools and spas have been installed, and there has emerged a need for pool and spa service professionals to help keep pools and spas clean and safe.
“With this growing need by new pool and spa owners, many entrepreneurial people are learning this trade and need the support of a professional community,” says Todd Starner, director of the Georgia and Florida Region. “IPSSA knows the importance of welcoming and supporting these new service professionals to ensure they get the insurance, education and community support they need to be successful and to continue to elevate the professionalism of our industry.”
