VivoAquatics Earns CMAHC Certification

VivoAquatics has achieved Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC) Certification for CDC safety standards for its aquatic management platform. At the core of this platform is VivoPoint, a smart technology program that connects commercial pools, spas and water features to chemical automation and real-time monitoring. VivoAquatics’ program delivers increased guest safety while decreasing operating and capital costs for leading hospitality, fitness and real estate brands, including MGM Resorts International, Marriott, The Irvine Company and In-Shape Fitness.

Launched in 2018, the CMAHC certification program helps educate the public about products and services that meet the strict, science-based standards in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC). If followed, the guidance in the MAHC helps reduce the risk for disease outbreaks, drownings and chemical injuries at public aquatic facilities. The CMAHC awards certification to services or products that comply with the relevant or applicable standards in the latest MAHC edition.

“At VivoAquatics, we understand the importance of compliance within the Model Aquatic Health Code that promotes CDC safety standards,” says Willan Johnson, CEO, VivoAquatics. “Our clients are among the leading global brands. They work tirelessly to provide their guests with an amazing and safe experience. We look forward to working with our partners and clients to provide the IoT platform, predictive analytics, and associated services to help them deliver high quality water to exceed guest expectations while navigating the many challenges of regulatory compliance, cost management, and staff training.”

VivoAquatics specializes in automation and insights for facility operators and owners across hospitality, fitness, municipalities and real estate. Through its smart technology platform, VivoAquatics monitors and manages pools, spas and water features from any device, anywhere — keeping guests safe, ensuring efficient staff and providing peace of mind and operational control for operators and owners. VivoAquatics’ proprietary safety score provides a quick read on the percent of the time the bodies of water are compliant with the CDC’s strict health standards in the Model Aquatic Health Code. Alerts are sent if out of the range so that issues can be resolved quickly. This ensures aquatics are aligned with CDC safety standards.

CMAHC certification is not a single occurrence. Rather, the intent is to build a long-term, quality control partnership. After initial certification, the CMAHC re-evaluates each certified service or product annually to ensure it continues to meet the same high standards required in the MAHC. Services or products that earn a CMAHC certification are said to be “CMAHC certified” and may display the CMAHC certification emblem to demonstrate they have been evaluated for conformance with the requirements in the latest MAHC edition.
