Putting together a National Water Safety Plan actionable within the U.S. is no easy feat, but all who are part of the NDPA's endeavor are ready for the challenge. Uniting their resources and knowledge will allow the organization to create a comprehensive, realistic and executable plan that they trust will render the desired results: reduce the number of drowning incidents in the country.
Following the World Health Organization's recommendations, a Steering Committee has been formed to guide the development of this plan. The combined efforts of all its members will ultimately help save lives, both now and for generations to come.
The Steering Committee understands the importance of ensuring the input from a broad spectrum of stakeholders as the NDPA moves through the development process, and as a result they have built a number of opportunities for input into the process as the U.S. National Water Safety Action Plan is developed.
