On Feb. 25, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a 90-day solicitation seeking applications for a special Pool Safely Grant Program offered to state and local governments. Because applicants may have experienced delays due to COVID-19, CPSC has extended the application deadline to June 9, 2020. The anticipated award date is Aug. 26, 2020. These grants are made possible through the Pool Safely Grant Program and provide assistance to state and local governments in reducing deaths and injuries from drowning and drain entrapment incidents in pools and spas.
While only state and local government entities are eligible to apply, if you think your state or local government would benefit from this grant, please encourage them to submit their application. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the solicitation on Grants.gov, under grant opportunity CPSC-20-001.
