UWO has announced the launch of two new products, the VariPool Star and the Ice Bath Chiller, at the upcoming PSP Expo 2024. The company says that their innovative solutions are designed to enhance energy efficiency and recovery experiences for pool and spa owners.
The VariPool Star is a residential full inverter pool heat pump that achieves high energy efficiency with a coefficient of performance (COP) of up to 18. This remarkable performance allows users to save over 100% in operational costs compared to traditional ON/OFF heat pumps. The VariPool Star operates efficiently across a wide temperature range of 5°F to 109.4°F (-15°C to 43.9°C), making it suitable for diverse climates.
A standout feature of the VariPool Star, the company says, is its use of the eco-friendly R454B refrigerant, which reduces global warming potential (GWP) by an impressive 78% compared to conventional refrigerants like R410A. This zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) refrigerant not only complies with environmental regulations but also positions UWO as a responsible choice for environmentally conscious consumers seeking sustainable solutions for their pools.
Unveiling the Ice Bath Chiller
UWO will also showcase the Ice Bath Chiller, engineered for cooling and heating versatility. This unit can rapidly lower water temperatures to as low as 39.2°F (4°C), making it ideal for post-training recovery and therapeutic applications. It features a titanium heat exchanger that resists corrosion and a user-friendly plug-and-play design for effortless setup. Enhanced safety is ensured through an ozone generator that disinfects the water, along with overload protection and auto shutoff features.
