National Plasterers Council Elects New Board Members

The National Plasterers Council held its 29th Annual Conference in San Diego, Calif., February 7-9. More than 500 applicators, pool builders, service technicians, distributors and manufacturers attended.

Over three days, NPC members participated in educational sessions, outdoor demonstrations and product seminars. The event concluded with the conference’s annual Exhibitor Reception.

Results of the annual election of the board of directors were announced February 9:

• NPC Chairman: Lee Valenzuela, New Image Pool Interiors

• Vice-Chairman: Greg Musgrove, G&B Tile & Plaster

• Past Board Chairman: Scott McKenna, Gardner Pool Plastering

• Secretary/Treasurer: Rob Burkett, Burkett’s Pool Plastering

• Membership Committee Chair: Dave Cooke, David Cooke Plaster Co.

• Technical Committee Chair: Jonathan Dongell, Pebble Technology

• Marketing Committee Chair: David Nibler, Zodiac Pool Systems

• Education Committee Chair: Taylor White, Langley & Taylor Pool Corporation

• Conference Committee Chair: Nadia Beane, Jack’s Magic Products

• Auctioneer: Jay Eaton, Cal Plastering


The following board members were also elected:

Kirt Campbell (Bakersfield Pool Plastering) retired from the Board.

NPC board and committee members welcomed Joe Lukacik (Poolscape Unlimited), IPPSA’s liaison to the NPC.

NPC leaders also met with the leaders from other pool industry associations, including NESPA, APSP and IPPSA to discuss ways in which the associations can cooperate for industry advancement.
