GBI Pool Services is proud to congratulate President and Co-Owner Garrett Incze on being named a recipient of the Ottawa Business Journal’s 2026 Forty Under 40 award, one of the region’s most prestigious honours recognizing emerging business leaders.
Founded by Incze in 2011 while studying Materials Engineering at McMaster University, GBI Pool Services began out of his parents’ garage and his family’s GMC Envoy as the company’s first service vehicle. Since then, the company has grown into a leading provider of pool and hot tub services across the Ottawa region with a fleet of 12 service vehicles. Widely recognized for their technical expertise, reliability and commitment to delivering a consistently high standard of service, GBI now serves more than 1,000 residential and commercial clients and continues a strong growth trajectory.
Under Incze's leadership, GBI has helped elevate expectations within the industry by combining skilled trades expertise with advanced technology-driven systems and innovative operational processes. Garrett has implemented cutting-edge systems and streamlined operations that have increased efficiency, strengthened communication, and elevated the overall client experience, helping establish a higher standard for service delivery within the industry.
A key part of GBI’s long-term success has been the trust and loyalty of its clients. Many customers who first hired GBI in the company’s early years continue to work with the team today, with relationships dating back to 2012 and beyond: a reflection of the company’s consistent service, reliability and commitment to long-term client partnerships.
Beyond business performance, Incze is deeply committed to developing talent within the skilled trades. Through a long-standing mentorship and training program, he has helped guide nearly 50 students and early-career professionals into hands-on technical roles, contributing to workforce development and creating meaningful career pathways within Ottawa and the skilled trades industry.
The Ottawa Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 awards recognize young business leaders in the National Capital Region who demonstrate professional achievement, leadership, and community involvement. Recipients are selected through a competitive nomination process and evaluated by an independent panel of judges.
