Step Into Swim, an initiative of the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance dedicated to creating more swimmers through safe swim education, is pleased to announce that it has received a $100,000 donation from Heritage Pool Supply Group and its Heritage Cares Foundation. Heritage Cares hosted a charity concert at The 2026 Pool & Spa Show powered by the Northeast Spa & Pool Association in Atlantic City, NJ, with Step Into Swim being one of four organizations supported.

“We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to support the Northeast Spa & Pool Association and the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance. At Heritage, we take immense pride in our team's unwavering commitment to giving back and supporting the Step Into Swim mission,” says Scott Frost, president, Heritage Pool Supply Group. “This initiative is very close to our hearts as it aims to create more swimmers and teach children in underserved communities across the country to swim. By working together, we can make a significant impact and ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn this essential life skill. We are thankful to be part of such a meaningful cause.”

Heritage Cares believes in leveraging the strength of its network to make a meaningful impact in the communities Heritage Pool Supply Group serves. For the past five years, Heritage Cares has selected Step Into Swim as one of the causes for its annual charity concert series, helping to raise even more awareness within the pool, spa, and hot tub industry about the importance of water safety and drowning prevention.

“Since 2021, Heritage Pool Supply Group’s donations to Step Into Swim have provided nearly 20,000 children access to lifesaving learn-to-swim programs,” says three-time Olympic Gold Medalist Rowdy Gaines, PHTA vice president of partnerships & development, who leads the Step Into Swim initiative. “Matt McDermott, Scott Frost and the entire Heritage team are true champions of water safety. Step Into Swim is so grateful for their continued support and generosity.”

Step Into Swim and its supporters provide the lifesaving skill of learning to swim and raise awareness of the pool and hot tub industry’s role in improving public health and safety. In 2025, Step Into Swim raised over $1.5 million, which provided grants across 43 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Grand Cayman and Canada and funded swim lessons for nearly 20,000 children. The initiative has gifted more than 500,000 swim lessons since 2012. Step Into Swim is funded through partner contributions, which are integral for advancing the mission. Every dollar donated goes directly to learn-to-swim programming. To learn more, visit www.stepintoswim.org.
