The PHTA Scholarship Program was originally founded to honor public swimming pool and spa operators who have pursued further education to better protect public health. Today, it has expanded to acknowledge the efforts of all PHTA-certified professionals and help them or their immediate family members pursue a college education.
If you currently hold a PHTA certification (CPO, CPO Instructor, CMS, CST, CSP, CHTT, CPI, CRP, CBP, Advanced CBP, Expert CBP, or Master CBP) and have a child attending college for the 2024-2025 academic year, they are eligible to apply — or if you, the industry professional, is pursuing a degree, you are also eligible.

Requirements
To be considered for any of the available scholarships, the applicant must be one of the following and submit a completed application:
- CPO, CMS, CST, CSP, CHTT, or CPI
- CBP, Advanced CBP, Expert CBP, or Master CBP
- CPO Instructor
- An immediate family member of any of the above
Only one scholarship per applicant will be awarded. Previous award recipients are ineligible for consideration.
Deadline
To be considered for the 2024-2025 academic year, the complete application package must be received no later than Monday, September 16, 2024.
Award Notification
Award recipients will be notified directly via email on or before September 30, 2024. Upon award, payment will be submitted directly to the college or university. Awards cannot be paid directly to students.
