The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance has issued a call for participation on the Standards Consensus Committee (SCC), PHTA’s official consensus voting body. The SCC is responsible for reviewing and voting on all pool, spa and hot tub standards to be approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Members of PHTA’s SCC are classified into one of four interest categories: Producer, User-Government, User-Consumer or General Interest. Participants in PHTA’s standards development process include subject matter experts such as public health officials, architects, engineers, consultants, product manufacturers, representatives from other organizations, and individuals with expertise or interest in advancing the pool and hot tub industry.
There are openings available in each of the four interest categories. To be considered for a position on the SCC, applicants must complete and return the SCC Application Form by July 18, 2022, and adhere to PHTA’s Procedures for American National Standards, Antitrust Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, and Volunteer Code of Conduct.
