Arko, a leading influencer in the water treatment space for the past four decades, will play a pivotal thought leader role for HASA’s growing network of distributors, dealers and pool service professionals as the company’s new head of product training and content management.
Terry Arko has more than 40 years of pool, spa and hot tub product experience and is one of the industry’s most knowledgeable sources regarding sodium hypochlorite water treatment protocols. He is a widely respected technical strategist and educator with specific experience in service, repair, retail sales, chemical manufacturing and product development. He is a Certified Pool & Spa Operator and CPO Instructor credentialed through the Pool & Hot Tub Foundation.
Additionally, he has been a voting member of the Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code and serves as an instructor for the Pool Chemistry Training Institute to certify residential pool technicians. An active member of the Pool and Hot Tub Association Recreational Water Quality Committee, Arko is also a prominent presence on the industry speaker circuit and has authored more than 100 trade articles on swimming pool maintenance.

Before joining the HASA team, Terry Arko was director of technology services at Bio Dex Laboratories, a leading manufacturer of chemicals for swimming pools and spas. Prior to that, he served as a water specialist for Natural Chemistry (owned by NC Brands), where he supervised commercial sales, corporate training and technical trade article development. Arko also held the position of technical services for SeaKlear Pool and Spa Chemicals (owned by Halosource) — managing technical training, marketing, customer relations and new product development.
Arko will work closely with the HASA leadership team to guide future R&D efforts related to the company’s swimming pool shock and sanitization product lines. His strategic hiring is part of HASA’s long-term commitment to bring the best possible efficiencies to market and advance the organization’s many technical offerings during a transformational growth period for the brand.
