The owners of this beautiful pool wanted it surrounded by an environment that looked like it was created 100 years ago. The narrow available area between two trees and the close proximity to the house required careful planning and a significant amount of the building process had to be completed by hand.
The pool’s environment was created by installing 18-inch natural fieldstone coping around the pool’s perimeter set on a concrete footer. The patio area was completed with the same natural fieldstone set in stone dust. The trees were welled with matching dry-stacked natural stone. Additionally, a 30-foot planter containing an irrigation and drainage system was built around the pool with natural stone.
The centerpiece of the pool is a custom-made structure from which water pours through the mouth of a Greek vase and cascades over simulated stone, natural polished river rock and slate. It is overseen by guardian angel statues.
